I would buy this card so I never have to open my camera up again to pull out the card. But, for trips and vacations, I couldn't afford to have this card in. From what I gather reading reviews, these cut battery life by 30-50% while the camera is on. The battery life on my camera is good, but it can't take that kind of hit, so I'd end up having one card for vacations (where I take the most pictures), and this wireless card for around the house (eBay, parties, home improvement projects, etc), which is one picture here and there.

For users with these cards, what's the effect on battery life, maybe I'm assuming wrong?

JoeNES

Comments on Eye-Fi celebrates a year with 4GB Anniversary Edition SD card

Great i just bought 1 last week, and i wanted a 4gb, i guess i have to return it

HTD, it already has Geotaging but its using wifi

Mooex

Comments on Eye-Fi celebrates a year with 4GB Anniversary Edition SD card

Still no RAW support ?!

Lifelion

Comments on Eye-Fi celebrates a year with 4GB Anniversary Edition SD card

the way i figure it really doesn't need raw support simply because the transfer speeds are so slow it will take forever to transfer all files

Burzhui

Comments on Eye-Fi celebrates a year with 4GB Anniversary Edition SD card

Am I the one one who hopes the iEye will make a comment on the Eye-Fi?

Mike

Comments on Eye-Fi celebrates a year with 4GB Anniversary Edition SD card

Instead of "Eye-Fi" I read "iEye", assuming that Engadget was actually congratulating him on avoiding the ban hammer for a whole year

Jon Nelson

Comments on Eye-Fi celebrates a year with 4GB Anniversary Edition SD card

Wish they had true GPS, and not just skyhook WiFi triangulation.
