Mine automatically update itself. Just for you know. My new alu' MacBook now has this symptom.<br>- cannot shutdown because it's automatically restart when I try to shutdown<br>- no longer able to sleep when the lid is closed or using manual sleep<br>- automatically start when lid was open from a shutdown<br><br>This is what I notice since my last update 6 hours back. <br><br>I'm really frustrated right now, I'm looking for a solution. Please reply if you know one.<br>And I'm pretty sure this update cause it since I was using it at the time. After restart, i tried shutting it down. And failed. Everytime. <br><br>Now I need to shut down by holding power. So that means the new laptops are now on par with the old ones. SD content comes out without HDCP, but HD content will not. Since the studios refuse to allow HD ("high value") content out without HDCP, that means older laptops won't be able to show HD content on video out at all, while the new ones will do it if you have HDCP.<br><br>It was stupid (or maybe just an error) for Apple to require HDCP to output SD video from the new laptops. One is an 853x480 video (SD) and the other is a 1280x720 HD TV show. Both work now where previously I got the error message.<br><br>I'm confused when you say, "High definition content still toils under HDCP and DisplayPort content Protection (DPCP), leaving oldschool displays at least functional, but sadly low res." Apple doesn't sell HD movies for computers. What content are you talking about? This fix applies only to the iTunes bought shows.
