an external PC dvd player.
an external hard drive (contains your media library) , yes, I know it can take internal drive with its drive bay, but can it support additional drives.
can it take a 4 port USB hub, so can have multiple external dvd players, external harddrives?

I've yet to see anything that doesn't look like a toy, except for the AppleTV, but it lacks a bit of 'openness' without some hacking.
