In most of the linked cases above, I agree with Nilay...I'm not particular fond of anything Nokia has done in recent years (and I have tried many phones from them).

You people seem to forget one important fact about this site: IT'S A F*CKIN' BLOG!!! Blogs are, pretty much by definition, made to convey one or more person's views about a particular topic. I.e. Engadget is a news blog offering tidbits of tech news with the writer's (i.e. Blogger's) opinion about said topic.

People read engadget because a) they like having other people find tech news for them and place them in one website) and b) because they enjoy the commentary and personal opinion of the bloggers. By no means do I agree with all the opinions on certain tech news here, but I don't expect my opinion to be exactly the same as others, especially a bunch of nerdy tech bloggers (I say that in a good way ;-).

So, keep reading engadget purely to take advantage of the tech news consolidation and ignore the personal opinion, and STFU about bashing other people's opinion, or go to a different site with blogger's who you agree more with.

schmitty338

Comments on

@schmitty338

Nice apologetics. The N85's screen sucks, end of. I don't care if it's OLED, QVGA has been around for AAAAAGES. The 5800 has a resistive touchscreen - need I say more? Capacitive touchscreens aren't exactly brilliant at this as you would know if you'd done any research. Also the idea that capacitive touchscreens are intrinsically better than resistive touchscreens is, quite frankly, bollocks.
