Gemei and RAmos to offer 800 x 480 PMPs

Remember the Ainol V3000 we saw a while back? It looks like Gemei and RAmos are playing catch-up with some 800 x 480 PMPs of their own. It's been speculated that like the Ainol handheld, Gemei's X690HD will be rocking an Ingenic chipset, while the RAmos T9 could follow up its iMovie with either an Ingenic or a Rockchip. Hopefully this bombshell makes your day, because there really are no other specs to report. We assume you'll see these guys with FM tuners, TV outs, batteries, and storage at some unspecified point in the future. The usual. Keep your eyes peeled, Mainland China!

The design is very sexy... however the problem will all these new PMPs is they ain't got no meat inside.

If they don't sport a large 250gb+ hard drive and support 720p+ H264 MKV playback, they aren't worth a second look.

Accelerometer, wow, just wow.
I'd rather not have to take it out of my pocket to do something on the touchscreen that I could've done with a button press through my trousers.

Now to name every DAP that has some features that surpass the iPod Touch...not 1, 2 or 3 but most of the DAPs out there better the iPod Touch at some things or even most things. Funnily enough the main reason behind these devices is for sound yet I always find the iPod SQ lacking (although it's gotten better).

I seem to forget what lame argument people had for iPods being superior before Wifi came into the picture. Seems to be all it is nowadays.

You know absolutely nothing about these players, so how can you say they fail miserably?

Nice. i sure wish the DS had tv out. It does have a nice touch screen and browsers. Don't know how they stack up to the touch but it sure has better video games. Nintendo really missed out on a wider market but I guess it would have cost too much to put more features in one item.
