The Queue: Frost resistance, hot or not?

Welcome back to The Queue, WoW Insider's daily Q&A column where the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft.

We're very light today, as most Mondays are. Coming off the weekend when everyone is playing instead of reading we're pretty short on questions that aren't repeats! No need for elongated excuses, though. Let's dig into the few questions we do have.

Phyalt
asked...

As a healing Priest should I be worried about frost resist going into Naxx?

You don't really need any Frost Resist going into Naxx 10. It can help, but you can easily beat the encounter without it. Naxx 25 is more difficult and the Frost Resist helps immensely. However, if your raid performs very well and you stack an extra healer or two, your raid can pretty much skip it. It will definitely require a lot of extra work, though. The DPS will need to be very good about getting out of Sapphiron's Blizzards, the Healers will need to be on top of their game.

If you want to make the learning curve a little (a lot) easier, the Frost Resist is a good idea, but it's only for one fight. If you trust your raid to perform perfectly, don't worry about it. Want to make your life easier? Get the frost resist.

moonspeaker asked...

Is there any use for BG marks anymore or should I just turn them all in for honor/mounts?

For the moment, I believe it's just honor and mounts. Will that change? Maybe. We haven't heard either way. Personally, I like it. I don't mind grinding honor if I can do it in a battleground I enjoy. Grinding marks is the worst part of PvP.

Will this have bigger ramifications, like nobody running Warsong Gulch because the honor sucks? Maybe! I bet if queue times get all screwed up because of this, we'll see some changes in patch 3.1, or maybe as late as Season 6. If you want to play it safe, keep a fair amount of Marks on hand. If you don't care either way, buy yourself some honor!

Maddeh asked...

Why is there that giganto hippogryph thing at Orebor Harborage?

Because Blizzard's sense of scale is... unusual at times.
