My Mom has been most impressed so far by the edge stitching capability (think the stitches around button holes). It has a larger embroidery area than the Ellegante (which she had). The thread loading is more proven technology than the Ellegante. She had recurring problems with the Ellegante's threader and doesn't anticipate having any such problems with the Ellisimo.
