I have found that every mfg of HDD's has a HUGE group of folks who warn others about their bad experiences. Basically, all product lines have bad batches and defects. I have previously owned a WD book, Iomega and a Iogear Ion. All have failed me and this is the only one to keep ticking. Now as in my post above I bet there are WD, IOGEAR and Iomega users that have ext HDD's without failures as well. <br>The thing I like is being able to take this puppy back to costco without a question or issue.
