Eos Wireless' Converge system streams audio all over your home

Considering that Eos Wireless is introducing its Converge wireless audio system at Macworld, it follows logic that the press release is geared towards Apple kit. So yeah, there's no question this stuff will stream jams from your iPod, iPhone, Apple TV or Mac to any room in the house, but you should also know that the system plays nice with the anti-Apple (but pro-USB / auxiliary port) crowd as well. It promises a wireless range of 150 feet, and it seems to be available in a variety of "Groups" depending on how complex or simplistic your home setup is. Look for the components to ship in March for as low as $89.95 per piece.

If this thing uses anything in the 2.4Ghz range or 900Mhz range, it'll suck big time.

The abundance of devices running on these ranges make getting a clean sign practically impossible.

Many have tried, and failed, to release these systems in the past. Luckily, when no one wants them, those of us who are interested can pick them up for a song, 'cause that ninety dollar per unit price can't stick for long.

The iPod is a photoshop or jailbreak. The 3D dock was not available with 2.0, which the ipod has considering the app store icon. Off topic, but still an interesting fact nonetheless.

Wish companies would stop making wireless devices that are not easy for the average person to setup. I am in IT and have no problem but end up spending too much time going to friends and families homes who keep buying this stuff and can never get it setup. Then they always call when something does not work. Worst culprit is VOIP (especially ViaTalk). Now this will be another headache.
