Those displays were never supposed to come out in 2008. That is why they were call PROJECT kuro and labeled "Advance design CONCEPT" as seen in your first link. They were showing the goals of pioneer, and the future of next generation plasmas. None of the Project Kuro designs were capable of being manufactured on a large scale that year.
