In all these images you can see the silver mesh hinge not properly aligned to the body of the laptop. To the left the hinge appears to sit more flush whereas on the right right side the hinge is more raised.

So it's not just a prototype issue either...
It's definitely one of those things that once you notice it, it bugs the hell out of you. But functionally, it doesn't appear to have any impact.
