Maybe they priced it right ... that price is about right considering Acer Aspire One is around £200 and because this is Sony we're talking about £300 seems right... The PS3 is big, ugly, and loud. the 360 isnt exactly pretty, but it way cheaper, smaller, and quieter.

So you see, the price really adds up when you start adding on. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but you really can't go by ONLY the shelf price for the console. The arcade model is very limited on extra abilities that the PS3 can do.. It's basically a tossup between what games you want to play (Metal Gear Solid 4, etc). Microsoft WILL make money off you, especially selling at that kind of price point.
