I'll build you one for a grand that's twice as capable and doesn't look like a 5th grader built it with mismatched front panel parts and crappy port selection (was that 2 VGA's I saw?).  I wish manufacturers would stop preying on the computer illiterate (like soccer moms) and those who haven't had the chance to build a computer yet. The Mac Mini is a proven design.  Maybe you're more of an "adventure seeker" when it comes to PC purchases.<br>2.  The Mac Mini costs half as much.  Maybe you have to spend $1600 this fiscal year on a computer.  <br>3.  The Mac Mini is uber-high-quality construction.  Perhaps you wanted a case that was more flexible.<br>4.  The Mac Mini WiFi is totally contained in the enclosure.  Maybe you wanted a computer that looked more like a Radio Shack scanner with a "Rubber Ducky" antenna.<br>5.  The Mac Mini can run OS X.  Maybe you are uncomfortable having too many choices.<br>6.  The Mac Mini is aluminum and white.  Maybe shiny things hurt your eyes.<br><br>See, there's lots of great reasons to buy that over a Mac Mini.<br><br>P.S.  If you need an embedded system in a critical environment, then buy an industrial-quality product (like a PXI chassis) running a real-time OS (QNX, VRTX, VxWorks, pSOS, RTLinux, etc.), not some rebadged consumer-grade AOpen running Windows.
