So I reformatted my G1's card to NTFS and copied the iso contents onto it, booted and (unfortunately) had to reformat/reinstall. The G1 saved me from my laziness.

I am also confused about the USB headset point, my understanding is that audio in/out is not going via USB. Audio signals go on separate wire along with USB wires.
