hmmmm... if it worked for you guys, I think i might give it another shot and say how I read "others" were able to get the phone early, why not me?

I'm a 8+ year TMO customer with 5 lines... just renewed 2 years for all five lines because I just added myfaves for no extra charge to my bill...

Not one question or hassle.

I don't know how much it affects me, but I've been a T-Mobile subscriber through Sidekicks 1, 2, 3, and LX; a couple of handsets prior to that, as well as the majority of my family being T-Mo customers.

I called 611, said "upgrade", and told the CSR that I wanted to upgrade to the Curve 8900 and he filled out the order without any mentioning of the official release date being 2/11. I wanted to say something about the release date but didn't want to risk the CSR realizing that he might have been wrongfully placing the order for me as the release to non-biz customer is not until 2/11.

I accepted the 2 year contract via phone and was advised the phone would arrive in the next 5-7 business days. We'll see from there whether or not the phone will actually be on my doorstep. I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere during the order process that someone realizes the phone is being sent too early and they hold the ship date until 2/11.

For the people who've already received an 8900 and are non-biz, can you chime in and confirm?
