To be honest I saw it coming as the service itself was pretty pointless if you've got other RSS feeds to use (although I struggled to get Windows Live FramIt to work). Either way the frame itself is pretty hit-and-miss and fails miserably at working with Windows Sideshow gadgets- which is half the reason I bought it. What I'm now doing is using getdropbox.com service to allow my sisters living abroad to update a shared directory on my computer. This service doesn't require both computers to be switched on at the same time, unlike some other services. The imate loads pictures from this shared directory over wifi as soon as any new pictures are added. I haven't got RSS feeds working yet though.  It requires a fair quantity of system administrator experience to make it work (you need to know how to make your router redirect DNS, or already be running local DNS.  You need to know how to setup apache for ssl.  You need to know how to install mysql and do basic insert/select statements.  The actual stuff for talking to your frame though, I've written and you can download them by registering on my site (post above).  At this stage, I don't have time to support people who don't already know this stuff (I can't forsee me ever having time to support people, but in time we can make some bits easier to do). I can authenticate frames, send them pictures, even send them the same rss feed types that the momento site supported previously.<br><br>I'm going to add gallery.me.com support next, if I can.  This remains so far a DIY project since the frames poll the site far too frequently for me to be able to safely say use my replacement on my server.<br><br>To do this properly requires more hardware co-located than I can offer, and fronted by a layer 7 switch. They have a lot of the same services.
