As for home users I cannot think of a situation where it would be worthwhile having one of these pricey buggers on my desk. When I'm not gaming, i use AWC from download.com to cycle through pictures every 5 minutes on it, much like a photo frame. I tend to work on JPEGs from 10-22MP DSLR's (just for reference.)  The toolbar doesn't bother me enough to warranty a second monitor or any kind. A cheap portable device that just plugs into your rack to monitor logs and stuff, where refresh rate / resolution don't matter.
