Not MiniUSB? I have 6 MiniUSB chargers and a couple dozen cables, but just one MicroUSB cable that came with a Runcore drive. Fun.

As for the Amazon MP3 downloader, I didn't see anything that much more attractive (or even different) than on my G1. It does appear that the media player is a lot better, but that's not hard.

I guess I'm lost on what's so special about this phone. I like the look of the keys, but I don't know how well I would be able to type on it (I loved my Dash, wasn't crazy about the Touch Pro, and I dig my G1) and I haven't seen much in the way of people using the keyboard. I would also like to see how content searching is carried out, as the G1 will stay within context (hit the key, it stays in YouTube when the app is up front and not default to the browser) and you can go all over the place with it. As phones get more storage (oops, my bad Pre, I guess searching isn't that important to you, yet) being able to find what you need and use it is also more important.

I am not a Palm hater (well, outside of how they tried to shutter the company for years with lousy products) but I don't see how this is so much better than everything out there, according to this blog. Hell, it's still being compared to a phone that can run only one app at a time...

Student Driver

Comments on Palm's VP of design shows off Pre features, scoffs at N95

Deriding the product of a competitor is not way to tout the virtues of your own--particularly since it still has yet to hit the marketplace.

Gene Del Polito

Comments on Palm's VP of design shows off Pre features, scoffs at N95

I'm so used to tuning that out, but I see the point there.
