This laptop can (easily or not) be brought on a plane on a carry-on. This laptop is using the desktop version of the Core i7. Somehow, somehow, they managed to fit it inside a laptop that doesn't look 2 inches thick (but of course, I could be wrong). How in the world they did that I don't know.

No, Intel has not made mobile versions of Core i7... yet. They will make them, of course, (as they do with just about all their processors) , but they will not be on the market until later this year. Remember, Intel always comes out with the desktop versions of processors first.
