I own a tx1 and use it as my sketch book. Every time I pull it out and start drawing in a starbucks or restaurant I'll have 3 or 4 people come over to me and ask what it is, how much it costs, are they brand new? Why haven't I heard about these things before? Where can you buy them?

The idea that you could write on your computer, draw on your computer and touch the sceen is always really exciting to them and want to know to know everything about it.

That's really weird that it falls out. He should have it replaced. Mine cannot be pulled out, even if you *really, really* try. This is HP's consumer tablet, its cheaper and uses the AMD processor. I'd LOVE to see a second battery slapped in there. I don't use the optical drive all that often. my fingerprint reader hasnt worked for 1 1/2 months :(
ans the laptop mouse buttons are a bit annoyin id like em bigger.
the scren swivels in the clockwise rotation but not counter clockwise. so if you want to veiw something on the right side of the laptop your outta luck.
the fan is insanely loud. you can hear it even with music playing and the volume all the way up. and the multitouch features are very glitchy (but waht in vista isnt) and if you want to dual boot anything becides vista theres no multitouch support.

i have ubuntu linux installed also and theres no sound :( and theres no touchscreen features at all. bummer

also id like the power "switch" to be a button. not much of a grip on the swith takes a lil effort to turn it off.

but hey, i dont regret getting this laptop at all. great upgrade from the dv6226us. all the cons are minor laptop is great very fast and highly upgradeable. and come windows 7, hopefully hp starts to support its multitouch features if it doesnt already :)]]>Feb 6th 2009 11:28PM
