This is one thing that upsets me about Nokia. They are the king of unneeded tech. I love the idea of video conferencing on S60 phones, but really, which network supports it? Nearly none. So, Nokia throw away money putting the capability in all their S60 devices, year after year, and no one uses it.

It's called video calling and all 3g networks (at least in Europe) support it. Okay, my bad. Wasn't aware that it was widely available in Europe and elsewhere. I've googled for screenshots or videos of video calling in use on Nokia phones, and can find precious few of those.

You're right about us getting it up the rear, especially on GSM. AT&T put zero effort into promoting 3G, until the iPhone switched to 3G, and the same with built in GPS. I have no doubt that the only way we will get AT&T to support video calling in the US will be when Apple decides to offer it on their phone. Sad.
