Come on Archos Windows? You make some of the most awesome linux based PMPs. I think all it would take is a company like Archos to offer a truly innovative user experience to help linux on netbooks gain more popularity.

Battery life is probably the same as any other netbook once you run the same power management software in the background as Samsung NC10 or any other netbook. Laptop magazine compares the Archos 3-cell battery life with other netbooks with 6-cell batteries.

I don't think that there are battery miracles, all netbooks work the same. If you want to extend the battery life, do some tricks lowering the screen backlight dynamically and lower the power level of the main processor using basic power management software.
