This isn't a projector replacement, any more then a Netbook is a desktop replacement. It's just opens up new ways of using video projectors that never existed before. People haven't even begun to explore the possibilities yet.

They should give a dozen of these to a collective of artists and see what creative minds could do with these gadgets. Pico size format is great, but no one will seriously consider investing in one of these until the specs go WAY up in terms of resolution, contrast, and brightness.

I know it may be awhile, but these are going to have to offer at least WXGA or greater res as well as brightness that can allow the image to be seen clearly in a lit room, before they're going to be taken seriously.

The price is also going to have to remain affordable. Although mostly just to project animated "virtual graffiti" on walls to annoy people. At night I can put up a 6 foot tall laughing skull on any wall I like. The battery life isn't long enough to watch a movie though, and the built in speakers are too quite for anyone to hear. I think artists are missing out on a nice opportunity to mess with people.
