It's a UI overhaul. I stupid closed the video to post this comment, so I don't know the time, but somewhere before 5:40, he goes into the settings and plays around with the today screen settings. The one he selects is really blurry, but you can make out "Windows Mobile 6.1", and before that, he selects one single plugin for the today screen, which is blurry, but I'm guessing it's the program for the UI. It's like TouchFLO, you have to check it for it to work on your today screen.
