But I'm loving the Samsung lineup so far...cant wait to see what they're doing with the Android OS now that there's been a lil more time with it. And of course...my two favorites...HTC and Sony Ericsson. Mainly SE...hopefully they are taking this Xperia line in a more better, cost effective direction. Sidenote...does anyone even know the reception of this handset? The fact that your ignorance is spewing into a reply of my comment hurts me so. The iPhone is by far not THE most popular phone...maybe in the US. But a true tech geek will not limit their views to the US alone. The iPhone has not reached the critical acclaim across the globe as it has in the US. And why...Americans are bewildered with simplicity. Your average American could be slapped in the face with the Innov8, Xperia, N95, and a whole slew of phones blowing the iPhone out the water...and yet they wouldnt be able to see past the awe factor of the iPhone to see what a technically superior phone is.

That being said...the iPhone has did what it set out to accomplish though. Garner a fanbase, sell, and make money. That does not make it a BETTER phone, just a more LIKED phone. Please know what you talk about before hitting that reply button. The iPhone is nothing revolutionary. It is just simplicity simplified and personified! Nothing more...nothing less. Hey hey hey...not too much on us Americans now, LMAO. But you are correct. As my post said...most Americans are just fascinated with the simplicity of a device. Simple and pretty colors sell. Apple found that and started their "i" line of products...and in a business sense...the smartest thing any company could do (read:Wii). But for true tech heads...anyone would be able to see the inferiority of such products. I kind of understand your anger: it must definitely not be nice to be stuck with a piece of crap of an Apple imitation of smartphone, being the laughing stock of all smartphone owners, and being too tight (or desperate) to buy something more modern and functional..

Oh, and if you ask anyone what an Omnia is , if he's a normally informed person, he/she will respond "the most desirable phone at the moment", but if you ask what the iPhone is he'll respond :"an antiquated gadget that years ago managed to dupe a lot of jerks whith a lot of hype and some clever ads".
Ask what HTC makes and... no , I won't tell you.
Try yourself, and don't forget taking your Prozac.

Try to think if you still can: "Why iPhones are given away at 99$ in USA (where it still has its fanboys) and given away for free in Europe , while people pay nearly 1000$ to buy some good smartphones?

Since obviously it is a design flaw on the Sprint model - combined most likely with really really bad firmware, I would hope that they make a significant improvement in the coming units. It is absurd for me to return a $550 phone and go back to my 2 year old model.
