By the time the phone manufacturers have implemented the additional interface doodahs to get this accelerometer data out of the sim, all phones will have accelerometers in anyway.<br><br>As for shake-initiated functions, I can't think of anything more irritating. Then there's the added danger of someone setting the phone to vibrate when it is shaken. The resulting device will quake in an increasingly violent positive feedback loop until the phone, the user and possibly the entire universe is destroyed. I'm not willing to take that risk.<br><br>Must be a tiny accelerometer though. The idea is clever at best...but will not be very useful.  Having this capability in-built to new cell-phones is the clear path towards adoption.
