But what is even crazier is the fact that Sprint is right...you can save hundreds over the similar offerings AT&T and Verizon have. As for me I'm going to stick with my unbelievable 4-line plan that blows away EVEN the SERO plans. Many of these wireless providers' prices are trending in the wrong direction. I think in time they may become their own worst enemies as a shift is bound to take place towards carriers like Cricket who provide a lot more for less in most cases. I also think that as more and more people shift from being employees of companies to consultants and independent contractors to these same companies (paying their own expenses) that they will become tighter with their wireless dollars.

Dave

Comments on Sprint Simply Everything plan now includes mobile broadband for laptops

It is unlimited to a very limited extent.

squeeg

Comments on Sprint Simply Everything plan now includes mobile broadband for laptops

That would only be a reasonable plan if it were for 2 people...150$ for one person is a bit on the ridiculous side.

jack

Comments on Sprint Simply Everything plan now includes mobile broadband for laptops

What has GPS navigation got to do with their data plan? I read into it more. I got it. It's not an error on Engadget's part. Sounds more like a business decision error on Sprint's part.
It seems pretty stupid to me. I don't think $50 a month is a reasonable price so that you can use mobile broadband up to only 5gb per month. The apps that allow you to tether in a more secretive way clearly are a better solution. PDAnet! Yay!
I thought Sprint was on the right course with their $99 simply everything plan, but this is pretty sad. Unfortunately it's not like ATT or Verizon or Tmobile are doing things drastically better.

Smacksmackums

Comments on Sprint Simply Everything plan now includes mobile broadband for laptops

The Simply Everything plan doesn't include phone as modem.

Now, like its been mentioned, there are ways around that, but until now, it was never officially supported by Sprint.

Paul

Comments on Sprint Simply Everything plan now includes mobile broadband for laptops

Yeah, it only saves you $10 in the end over their otherwise $60/mo data card add-on. Let say you have an iphone with att and an unlimited plan with unlimited txt. Your cost is 150.00 a month for just the phone, that doesn’t have turn by turn gps. Now with this spring plan you get unlimited messaging, minutes, txt, Sprint TV, navi, and a broadband card. Sounds like a good value to me. Let’s look at Verizon. For 150 a month you get unlimited minutes, txt, and PDA data and ...... that’s it. If you want navi its ten dollars extra and a broadband card is 59.99 for 5 GB. Trust me sprint is the best deal in wireless. For the average consumer this is a huge win. I use att my self but I have an employee plan so my pricing is not average.

notafanboy

Comments on Sprint Simply Everything plan now includes mobile broadband for laptops

sorry *Sprint*

notafanboy

Comments on Sprint Simply Everything plan now includes mobile broadband for laptops

PDA net + SERO is the best offer they ever had.
