Amazon's actually got the 2 new cameras up for pre-order, and though they don't have a release date, they do have prices:

SD780 IS $279.95
SD960 IS $329.95

Their naming conventions are so confusing...the SD770 and SD790 are at $160 on Amazon right now, but the SD780 will be $280? My SD1000 just broke (lens won't close) so I was actually looking at the SD1100 but may wait out for this.
