From what I've seen of the G1 and the way android works I haven't been very impressed.  I'm actually quiet looking forward to WinMo 6.5 but good Lord its going to take forever (4th Q 09!! come on).  Granted since MS has a pretty large stake in this area already they have no one to worry about yet...
