This stuffs rocks. I heard that while you are recording movie at HD 1080p, you can click on the capture button and capture 10mpxl photo without interrupting your movie session. (and yess.. you can optical zoom while in movie recording session).

For those that posted they are available for $473, have you actually FOUND a reseller that ships to the US at that price? I've looked at Austrailia AND Europe, and had NOTHING but trouble trying to find a dealer that will ship it here. I think DigitalRev is the only place I've found, and they are $581 + shipping. :(

try goggling SHOPBOT DOT COM DOT AU and search for SX1IS. 471 usd to be shipped anywhere in Australia (used to study there for 5 years).

Besides, I'd much rather a camera that takes good low-noise pictures (in stinkin' Auto mode!) without the flash in low light. I don't need night vision, but maybe take a picture at a bar (or anything beyond the parltry flash range) without having to blind everyone.]]>Feb 20th 2009 10:46AM
