You know this stuff can go both ways. And looks are in the eye of the beholder, I think this looks about as nice/ugly as the Olympus digicams. I took my dad's olympus sw on a tubing trick and I just tied a float to it so it wouldn't be lost forever if I dropped it. They will be using it on river and ocean outings with kids, hence it needs to be durable, waterproof, and usable.

They also ask:

"We would like a camera that can be submerged (33 feet) and send a constant stream or either video or stills across the internet"

Originally, I was thinking of enclosing a specialty video camera that is tethered to the surface. This a very costly approach.

Does anyone know of a solution or product that is out there today?

Olympii have the same drop and depth rating, and look like regular cameras (sw830,850, TOUGH ... many many versions with similar specs and better looks)
Panasonic is coming out with an underwater camera (that looks awesome for an outdoor camera) and has better specs (waterproof, HD video recording, better zoom range)

I cannot begin to describe the repulsiveness I feel toward this product... It's ugly beyond words...
