There's already several ultraportables at or near the size of netbooks with Core 2 Duo ULV processors though they still use Intel's graphics. So OEMs can put together systems without dedicated graphics cards that fully support Aero in Vista and Windows 7.  I suspect that's why Microsoft is throwing so much support at Ion.
