You guys can't refrain from mentioning Apple no matter what the topic! I think you all secretly love them, you eagerly await the next post, any post, where you can mention Apple. Sure you try to belittle them, be negative - but the fact is, you are more interested in news or information about Apple than any other company. Just look at the amount of comments an Apple post gets. Just look at how many comments on non Apple related post - that are about Apple.

Apple are a more innovative, forward thinking company, where as Microsoft is all about profits - that is pretty plain to see. Apple has changed things, where as Microsoft has only imitated. Almost every one of Microsoft's successes has been something that has already been done. Windows. Office. Explorer. And when they do have an idea of their own (Bob anyone? That was awesome, wasn't it?) it shows their true colors. Gates & Balmer dismissed and talked down the iPod when it came out. They said it promotes piracy, blah blah blah, insinuated it would fail.
Now we have the Zune...
Someone else penetrates the market with good software or ideas, and Microsoft use their market share to incorporate their lesser version & kill the original, as you cheer them on. I would hate to see what Windows would be if the Mac had never existed.

Microsoft is to computers is what Wal Mart is to retail or what McDonalds is to restaurants.

Skeezle

Comments on

How about you idiots stop stereotyping everyone, not to mention how juvenile it is to bicker back and forth about a god damn computer! I have been submitting feedback any time something doesn't work properly and it seems others have been as well. The huge size of this beta will contribute to a much more stable final product.

The main strength of Windows is how it will run on whatever brand of hardware you can get it to run on. That is also its biggest weakness because you don't get console-like stability of a small hardware set a-la Apple. For those of us who prefer choice and power over simplicity and slickness, a large beta group like this is probably the best way to test as many possible configurations as they can.

Good on ya Microsoft.
