Seems pretty on-point to me.  Not everyone wants to know what Microsoft thinks the future will look like since it no doubt involves their products heavily (accept this as fact and move on).  Equally, find me a company today that isn't focused on projects that deliver revenue quickly - this is just an economic fact of life that is making my own job more difficult than it used to be (i.e. chasing funding).
