The PSP-1000 to 3000 have been revisions of the PSP system, whereas the PSP2 would be totally different altogether. Everyone keeps referring to the PSP-4000 as a PSP2 and that's just stupidity running around with confusion. PSP has been constantly updated since launch to stop it (not that its done much good, but it's something) where DS hasn't really done a thing to the firmware itself. For me, the choice was buy a flash cart or sell my DS because there wasn't any games worth paying for, so it's not like they're losing business anyways.
