My wife watches TV while I play games, pretty nice way of relaxing together. Anyway, the lights are usually off with the only ambient light emanating from the TV screen and my laptop screen. Even though my keyboard is silver, it still doesn't reflect enough light to be seen clearly which is why the backlight is worth having and worth searching for a new laptop with such a feature. Connectivity looks good, including an esata/usb and HDMI. I mean your doing a review, not trying to be artsy fartsy about it. Right? At least some of the pictures were entirely in focus.
