Pyramid PC casemod will look really cool on your desk next to your Crysis poster

Casemods range from the peculiar to the spaceage, but this one -- a pyramid PC case -- kinda takes things to the next level of outrageousness. Weighing in at 7.5 pounds (just for the case) this 25-inch high beast is not exactly compact, with a 19 x 19-inch base. Modder polo360x made it from a customized Luxor pyramid case, and, and in our opinion, it fits in nicely with his home decor choices. Check out another two shots and hit the read link for many, many more, plus a full specsheet.

even if there was nothing in the case it would still be better than my PC
I wonder what the patent office was going to find under a bumch of pictures called "Pyramid Scheme"

Pyramid PC casemod will look really cool on your desk next to your Crysis poster................in your moms basement.
I thought stuff like that was prohibited during recessions?
Wouldn't it be encouraged, seeing as money needs to be spent to save the economy?
Don't tell me you actually believe that.
a' - am I missing your sarcasm? Clearly a casemod is not going to help the economy, but on a broader scale increased consumer spending generates increased demand, increased jobs, and increased economic growth.
"Don't tell me you actually believe that"
Are you trying to say you DON'T believe that? Wow.
See, I can play this game too.
Well, it's reminiscent of that pyramid on the back of the American $1 bill. That may remind folks to spend, thus helping the economy, right?
FYI, the US GDP is about 70% based off of consumer spending. Google it!
That's correct; everyone needs to go out right now and buy an iPod; it's the only thing that will stimulate the economy. Here, let me break it down for you:
$400: iPod Touch 32GB
$200: Taiwanese component manufacturers
$50: Assembly outside of the US
$25: Sales and marketing in the US
$125: Profit
Most of the profit, of course, is either locked up in Apple's accounts, or goes to wealthy investors, who will probably spend it on such things as:
1. French wine
2. Cuban cigars
3. Italian villa on the Mediterranean
So please; for the love of America, spend your money now, instead of silly things like paying down debt, or saving for the future.
I'm buying 2 iPod Touch players!
Aether, im an investor, and im sure as hell not fking wealthy.
"saving for the future" ...So that you can buy the evil "foreign" stuff later instead of now? This protectionist rhetoric all over the place is just insanely frustrating to hear, especially on engadget.
I hate this notion that because it's a recession, people who aren't as affected should stop spending money. It's just so illogical, it drives me crazy.
A 'recession' results in lower spending overall.
A 'recession' is not a reason in itself to spend less.
Especially that guy for thinking that spending is a good thing right now (do you work for MSNBC or something?).
No, saving is, we've abused credit long enough now, let's straighten up and spend what we saved rather than borrow and keep the belt of stupidity going.
Honestly my first comment was sarcastic but I can't believe some people here actually believe that spending money we don't have will save us all - Saving saves.
Anyway I know this message isn't going too far in Washington right now so enjoy your bankrupt country and new world order (I can't believe I'm buying into this theory either but have you even looked at what your government is DOING? Am I seeing revolts resulting from this? NO! Because Obama's a feel-good marxist that can push his agenda of bigger government down our throats because 'there's an emergency to act').
You know, I've heard Marxist/Socialist/Communist thrown around often enough. You DO realize that America is a hybrid of Socialism and Capitalism, right? I invite you to throw down the proof that Obama's a socialist that we should take to the streets to stop.
I agree with you that buying stuff on credit is not a good idea. But unless you're putting stuff like this on a credit card, I don't see how that has anything to do with spending your OWN CASH in a recession.
Also, just so you know, regardless of whether or not you have a point, sounding sarcastic just makes you look like a pretentious prick.
Aprime, I thought it'd be obvious, but the idea that spending leads to growth is not a Marxist. It's thoroughly capitalist, Adam Smith, conservative stuff.
"Especially that guy for thinking that spending is a good thing right now (do you work for MSNBC or something?). No, saving is, we've abused credit long enough now, let's straighten up and spend what we saved rather than borrow and keep the belt of stupidity going."
I hate your assumption that all spending is based on credit. Nobody here is saying that. Nobody. We're talking about spending the money you have earned. Why should you not spend, say, £/$1000 that you got from your employer just because we're in a recession? As for your MSNBC comment, since when is it the left that advocates individual spending?!?!
After 9/11... GWB, "Get down to Disney World in Florida," he said. "Take your families and enjoy life, the way we want it to be enjoyed." 'Go shopping' is one of the economic pillars of conservatism. There is an incredible level of confusion among conservatives at the moment, the things they argued for just 4 years ago, they've turned on their heads. The hypocrisy is just gut wrenching.
But can it play Crysis?
you suck.
But can it suck you play?
(trying too hard)
@Aprime
It's "In Soviet Russia, Crysis plays you !"
well considering thats a Zotac 8800GT in there probably not...haha
I'm sure it can play Crysis, but does it blend?....... Step 1: Make pyramid case Step 2: ??? Step 3: Profit....... I, for one, welcome our new pyramid case overlords.........
(etc, etc, etc...)
BILLY MAYES HERE WITH A FANTASTIC NEW PRODUCT
Thats od.. not tooo keen on cases being translucent but still nice job done.. Would've done it with a black pyramid theme and red lights shing out of the exhausts or fan grills but thats just my taste.
That's such OOOOOOOLD news, that thing was shown on guru3d.com as rig of the month in July 2008. And I think it was posted here on engadget too, either as an article or a link from a commenter.
http://www.guru3d.com/article/guru3d-rig-of-the-month--july-2008/
Yeah I was just about to post that it was A.) Rig of the month @ Guru 3d & B.) It's already been posted here as well.
@ Laura June. You suck. Read your own goddamn website before posting something like this.
Oh, shut up. This is the first time that I've seen this case, so I really don't give a damn how old it is. It's cool. Get off your high horse.
But Laura's writeup was much funnier!
Your comment is such an OOOOOOOLD comment. A million just like it have been posted on just about every website on the Internet already.
@John B
But it's kinda like asking Engadget to repost something from 2004 because you didn't see it. It's your fault, right?
Besides, they did supposedly post about this before, so then one has to ask.. why are they posting about it AGAIN?
By the way, zenstylejunglist, could you give me the link to the old post?
Definitely an engadget repost from a year ago. I think there were a few other review sites and some video reviews of this thing. Not all were positive.
Thats very cool to be honest:P
First thing I thought when I saw this was of Daft Punk's pyramid.
FUCK YEAH.
Daft punk !!
I like the case a lot actually, but why would you put a sub on the desk and not on the floor?
To make him feel more awesome an special.
I know i'll get slated but I think it looks super tacky. Why not mod it to look like something else that you'd be proud to have on your desk, like an antique globe or a nice lamp? Don't put loads of LEDs and flashing lights on it and try and make it as small and quiet as possible. The monitor is there to be seen to play a game or work, the computer should be as hidden as possible. Mod it into your desk if needs be, now that'd be cool.
I agree, this thing is really ugly. Making it a pyramid is kind of cool, but it's ruined by being transparent and incredibly gaudily-lit.
Agreed. Really ugly.
Most 'gaming' cases look tacky, it's like looking inside the brain of a 12 year old with ADHD.
I agree with you.
logitech mx revolution FTW
But does the poster play Crisis?!?
Awesome looking case.
lol
Ooh! Cool! Now to find a monitor that will stand on top of it...
Danm!
But it runs Windows :-(
