You heard correct...$1300. I can get an iMac for $1599 or less at the refurb store (before the recent upgrades anyway). If you're driving an Aston you're generally regarded as someone with a good job who is successful in their career whereas someone with an Apple is just seen as someone with more money than sense who enjoys being at the mercy of the Apple Software department.<br><br>Anyone with sense runs Windows or a Linux derivative and takes the precautions to be safe while retaining access to the majority of software in the open market.<br><br>For me, a case doesn't have to be more than 5p, I only really care what's inside. Almost as bad as buying an iPod because it's "sexy"...it's in your pocket 95% of the time so who cares. Other than that I wouldn't say they look, are built or designed better as a PC could be anything, there's no single look or design for a PC (and I generally don't think Apple products look as good as everyone makes out or designed that well, MBA USB port for instance). This just happens to have a similar look to an iMac. Well isn't that the way with everything in this crazy world we live in?! <br>For example: one fastfood place puts a new burger on the menu and soon everyone else does. Another example: Clothing, one big named clothing company comes up with a new idea, soon after everyone follows.  <br>It's called TRENDS people, not that I normally follow them, but most do! Then it might be, depending on how deep the touch support gets, and what kind of applications supporting touch ASUS ships the things with.<br><br>Also, as kitchen PCs, these are just another extra PC.  They aren't interesting if they're not cheap.  And the fact that there's a Blu-Ray player in there isn't encouraging.  That's the sort of thing I expect in those ridiculous HP TouchSmart computers they're trying to sell for thousands of dollars.  Think Netbook pricing.  Hundreds.  Otherwise, forget it.<br><br>These are just for simple web browsing--checking traffic, weather, directions, phone numbers, quickly.
