There are more companies investing in that particular port because it not only gives you a monitor out capability but also doubles as an expansion port which HP already has released pictures and information on but still not for sale >:(  Anyway, The sony P actually has the same port too. I complained about the fact that they had advertised the product as having VGA out functionality but over 3 months after release had not provided the means to do so.  They had the nerve to reply with <br><br>"The HP Mini Note 1000 is designed for portability, and not for power or performance.  If you want simple access to web mail, internet sites like Youtube, Facebook, news etc, HP Mini Note 1000 is the right machine"<br><br>as though my wanting to use the laptop for presentations was a 'power' operation!  Lets ignore the fact that the functionality is still missing.  This will be the last HP product I buy.
