HTC makes it and it's Microsoft's OS, so that keeps costs down for them.  They also as mentioned didn't intend to start selling it this late.<br><br>But the big thing is that they see it as two separate markets for the Pre and the Treo Pro. The Pre is.  They will price the Pre below the iPhone to capture market share and sell as many phone as possible, as quickly as possible. They may very well require either the 450 min/unlimited data/text/nav plan for $69 or the unlimited everything plan for $99 but not just the latter.  If you follow this, there are about as many "insider tips from managers" as there are threads on message boards. Yes, the pre looks very interesting, but won't be on the shortlist of corporate nerd phones that are handed out to employees who need to get exchange emails.<br><br>This is where Tmobile completely dropped the ball.
