Yes the rollout of Tivo to the set-top-box has been slower than expected and yes in some markets, where the HFC plant that Comcast purchased from Time Warner or Adelphia is in poor condition, some of the HD channels have to be compressed. But how many other MSO's are rolling out DOCSIS 3.0 as aggressively? Of the 100 HD channels Fios advertises having, how many are you likely to watch (can you say HD Community Access?)? It's easy to flame Comcast because they're a big target but credit where credit is due, Comcast continues to innovate in an industry dominated by companies content to perpetuate the status quo.

Disclaimer: I work for Comcast so please feel free to flame me as well as my employer. I also realize few people, if any, will come forth in agreement for fear of being eaten alive by the trolls but we all know there's millions of satisfied customers because if there weren't, Comcast wouldn't be in business anymore. Simple economics. And don't start whining about monopolies because Comcast has been getting smacked around by the FCC and dealing with competition from private cable operators, LEC's and satellite for years. Everyone has choices and many of them choose Comcast because they provide a superior service, even though it may not be en-vogue to admit it.

CoffeeDragon

Comments on Sony Style Comcast Labs opens to show off future of high-speed internet

Oo w/ out that disclaimer, I would of thought you were just a fan of comcast!

I love how you talk of comcast like its a company you own.
