Ex-Ensemble employee founds Windstorm Studios

Developers are a lot like weeds apparently. Chop one down and three pop up in its place. With Ensemble Studios vets already forming two new studios, it looks like a third is ready to join the fray. IGN reports that former Ensemble developer Dusty Monk has founded Windstorm Studios. The Windstorm website proclaims the studio will not produce "post-apocalyptic games full of depressing zombies, dark caves and dire predictions of humanity's eventual destruction." Instead, it will produce "a better online game - a game with the promise of a hopeful future -- cities of glass and steel, and most importantly, flying cars!"

No concrete details are given about the studio's first project, only that it will offer "an online experience that's a fresh and radical departure from the norm." We're crossing our fingers that Windstorm has successfully created the first online, xenophobic jerk filter.
