I have had 3 Cadillacs with Onstar and I pay the subscription fee because it is amazing. Specially with the CTS and it's Keylesss-Go  it is easy to misplace the remote. Get a data account/card from Sprint or others.<br>2. Get a Cradlepoint portable router.  It is a complete full featured router that takes a data card as the internet connection.  <br><br>Plug in to car, or get an 8 hour battery and take it to the field in your bacpack. .  <br><br>The Cradlepoint ctr-500 is very cool technology.  It is used by many who need remote hotspots for many users, at a convention, contruction site or just a picnic.  Best of all it has auto failover from dsl to the card. Use it at home/office for high availability situations.<br><br>Costs much less besides. and on your normal 3G account.<br><br>This Autonet product is the same I'm sure, but targeted at the non-tech mass (affluent) market.<br><br>NOTE: If you already have a data card for your laptop, reading email at 80MPH is dangerous.<br><br>]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[Peredur]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Apr 7th 2009 2:48PM</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
