The annoying noise wouldn't stop. No, not the popping on the microphone, I'm talking about all the whining from Josh about iPhone 3.0.
Usually, I enjoy his smart ass comments, but this time, I just wanted to scream at him.
I am so tired of "editors" from "technology sites" talking about how the iPhone doesn't do what they need. They are so busy that working with the on-screen keyboard slows them down from typing important emails, that the pop-up notifications interfere with the important work that they are trying to get done on their phone, and that it's laggy while they are trying desperately to do the life-changing work that they would certainly be doing more efficiently if their iPhone wasn't so slow.
I have a hope for the future. That all tech people quit bitching about their phone. It's a phone. Yes, it does more than just make calls, but if you want a laptop experience, get a friggin laptop!!!! Or better yet, don't pick your phone because you think it's cool and then bitch that it doesn't perform perfectly.
I hope the Pre lives up to the ridiculous expectations that you guys are setting for it. Not because I want one, but because maybe it will give you something new to complain about instead of the iPhone.
Ugh.,,,,,,,

Chris

Comments on Engadget Podcast 138 - 03.20.2009

now whos bitching

apple nerd without a cause

Comments on Engadget Podcast 138 - 03.20.2009

oh gah'd...u fail

i guess ur missing the entire damn point. the iphone is hyped by many as the end all, and be all of smartphones. but it has epically failed in so many of the basic "smartphone exercises" until now. I mean, the idea that if you're loading a web page that's taking a while, that you are FORCED to sit there and stare at it, well...that IMO blows. looking @ the pre, winmo, nokia's many symbian phones, and BBs you can switch to emails, send a text, open up a chat app, anything else...well, u get the point.

these are all valid points they made, consider this a venting session, not a bitching session. because every single point they made, were all valid ones.

SimbaDogg

Comments on Engadget Podcast 138 - 03.20.2009

could you guys post pictures of yourself or something. i mean all i can see in my mind is josh talking doing 3 different voices and tapping his mike when he wants to.

apple nerd without a cause

Comments on Engadget Podcast 138 - 03.20.2009

The best thing about this podcast was the intro/outro. that was awesome. sorry this is a week late.

Leo
