If it's the same then it's a promotional video, not a review. The video has been sped up and edited - heavily.

Are you trying to be sarcastic, or 'ironic'? The roller concept and hardware are fine, but the GUI is Frankenstein's monster. It seems inconsistent throughout, like a bunch of apps pulled randomly from various OSes and thrown together. A few look a little Vista-ish, and others even might have come from Windows 3.1. Despite the language barrier, I should still be able to get a sense of flow to the GUI. some logic structure, but I don't see it. The graphics need a redo in general. Graphically simple can be great - I get it, but it needs more thought and careful design than it appears to have had here. Titillated and amused I am not.

frankXchange

Comments on iriver P35 interface caught on video, where it titillates and amuses

I felt the same way... the UI seems inconsisgtent, fragments of ideas pieced together and each application* seems to have a distinctly different UI, all too incongruent. By the time you learn all the controls, the device will be obsolete. It seems a horrendous mess. Come on, for God's sake, holy crap, and other such exclamations... it does like 6 things... make the effort to create a UI that is functional in "all" of those areas. Sheesh. Right now, it feels like they had 6 teams work on the software, and the UI disunity is the evidence of that.

* app has been too sullied henceforth and forthwith for me to feel comfortable using it

By the way, as a creative designer genius type, all this consume content only crap is getting tiresome... aren't there some affordable gadgets that actually let you create the content? Draw a cartoon, write a brief skit or joke, publish to a site, edit a short video remotely, make a music video, etc? Anyone? I don't specifically recall any Flash programs being shown off, though. Guess it's just another media format to most folks other than Flash developers. Anyway, I wonder if the interface (that's being harped on in the comments) was done in Flash. Seems pretty snappy from a response standpoint. I'd watch it again to to try to make a guess...but the music makes me tap my fingers and I might distract anyone nearby.
