WinMo is an open platform with tons of support. meaning, it is very easy to add apps, most of which are free. at one point, every time i saw an iPhone Appstore commercial, i would have a similar app on my phone (for free) the next day.

Symbian, Android, OS X Mobile and Windows Mobile will be here for a long time... Symbian and WinMo have weaknesses and they also offer an alternative to iPhone mistakes, so new versions with a nice GUI will get the best of both worlds..
