This isn't the first time we've laid our eyes upon a wrist-worn PC, but if you're in the market for something ultraportable, you might want to check this bad boy out. Brought to you by Glacier Computer, the Ridgeline W200 is a wearable refresh of the company's vehicle-mounted Ridgeline family. With a case constructed out of a high strength, low weight reinforced magnesium alloy, the 10.2 ounce machine sports a 3.5-inch color display, touch screen, backlit keypad, hot swappable battery pack, and plug-and-play support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS modules. Available in Windows CE or Linux flavors, the system integrates such features as tilt and silent reckoning for putting the device in standby when its not in use, and will remarkably make you feel like your entire life is a quest in Fallout 3. Now all we have to do is find some super mutants, a radscorpion or two, and a nest of unsuspecting raiders. Should be no trouble at all.

While I was initially envious, it occurs to me that simply having a nice wrist mount for an iPod Touch or other small PMP/MID would be more practical. Undeniably cool, though, and certainly reminiscent of the Pip-Boy and Leela's arm computer, which she once referred to as "This thing I wear on my arm."
considering their tablet is rugged and 15 inch this thing must be in the $6000 range......

Fallout...man, that has taken over my life.
I know its got touchscreen, but I still would've thought it would make more sense to have the controls *below* the display. As it is, you can't see the screen while you're tapping on those buttons.
That would be true if you were using the device in front of you, set on a table or something, but think about it, you bring your left arm around in front, and your right can hit all those buttons from the top side without blocking the view. Try it with a watch and you'll get what I mean.
If this thing had a few solar panels on it it would be FTW!
If it were made of titanium and could withstand the impact of me hitting someone upside the head, it would be made of win.
It doesn't have titanium panels, it has magnesium alloy panels. Same shit that Sony used in their ultraportable high end notebooks.

and if you were to be able to play
you still would probably need peripherals
such as mice
so...
I had to wear a wrist computer when I would pushing boxes for FedEx a few years back. Get ready for sweaty/smelly wrist strap and constantly re-rotating this into the right position.

what does it do?
if it has gps, winCE (which means calender, notes, email etc), pedometer and ... I donno, built in morphine/cortizone/valium injectors then it might be ready for some super mutant action.
(did anyone else wonder what the dial on your hand in fallout 3 did? cause there totally is one, (mabye text input? or a delete option? or a joystick for the map?)
