Well, TECHNICALLY a 4x4. Unless there less shallow than a puddle in the middle of a heatwave... then its "oo that guy has cash" but no-one value's people like that's opinons anyway ;)

There is however one exception, and thats the very few people who buy a landrover so they can drive about fields on farms.. but you can always tell.. and there very much a minority...

Interesting Fact: I live in Northern Ireland (UK) (The land with the leprachauns to those of you who are american... ;) In the past year 90% of the time i've seen a landrover (to the americans again: yes! we have cars!! we upgraded from horses and carts about a few months ago) only driven by skinny women...

Wow, someone needs to calm down. The vehicle doesn't equate to douchebaggery. There are plenty of good uses of a rover, just like there are for large SUV's in general. As for the general populace, it is more of a statement or status symbol. If you own a Rover and use it for what it was designed for, no complaints. It's not what you drive, but who is doing the driving.

P.S. I think mike was just trying to have a little fun. I don't think it's necessary to haul off and call the man a terrorist just because he lives in N. Ireland. And even if it wasn't just a joke, it is just the internetz my friend.

1. It was a Joke (You do know what a joke is..) if you've managed to take it any other way than a Joke then you're clearly a fool.
2. The Northern Irish people aren't all like you seen on the news.. wouldn't that be like me turning round and assuming that all Americans hold people hostage at gunpoint at some points in lives? That all American teens go round their high school's and kill people?

I like the technology, hell, i LOVE the technology, but wake me up when it's available for a nominal fee in a Camry or an Accord, not for what will most likely be more than the cost of a new desktop in a Range Rover.... who drives these?

But I don't know the Land Rover situation in America, but down here, if something breaks on your range rover, expect to wait several months and several thousand dollars to get if fixed. Now, some of the Land Rovers, like the Defender, don't have as much of a problem because they're built like brick shithouses. Range Rover, not so much, it's essentially a sports car with a big body shell.
