Portnoy's great, and he's got speed, but not like Mangini, and NO ONE has the mix of speed and polyrhythmic ability of Mangini. I don't know what you guys are talking about, honestly, I picked this up like a month ago and it completely negates the point of double bass. There's a severe limit on how much time there can be between presses, which also means that it will not do what you need it to for Guitar Hero: Metallica.
