Is this the Zune HD?

Uh. Looks like something is happening -- big time -- in Zune land. We present what might possibly be your first look at, yes... the Zune HD. In the gallery below, you can see images from what appears to be a forthcoming marketing campaign for Microsoft's new PMP. We don't have any word on specs right now, though we've got a sneaking suspicion this will have an HD display.

Update: Based on discussions with sources, it's looking very likely that the device in these images is -- in fact -- a new Zune on its way to market.

i still have the zune 30 but if this is real i definately will be changing to this. I was gonna switch when the 2nd gen zunes came out but didnt seem like too much different. this will most likely be a strong competitor to the Itouch.

i heard that it will be using the new Nvidia Tegra chip a (C.C.G.pu). if it does expect full 720p video and a amazing 3d rendering capabilities. just try googling tegra youll either slobber over it or wet ur paints... it is the shit!

I think that this is amazing. Since day 1 I've had a zune 30. When the 80 came out I purchased one as well. Zunes are amazing devices that don't get enough credit (there are too many apple and microsoft lovers to let that happen.) I expect nothing less than spectacular from the ZuneHD.

ive had several..SEVERAL "iPods" and each one of them gave me problems. (like 7 ipods..? i collected them : / )

i bought the ipod touch, went through 3 of them before i decided....this isnt worth my money. So i sold all of my collection on ebay, got vary little out of it, might i add...bought a Zune 80 ( like 2 weeks before the 120 came out...pissed....) and have had but ONE problem with it since the day i bought it about a year ago. this ONE problem was vary easily fixable. so easy that i cant even remember what the problem was. as apposed to ipods frequent crashing, locking up, clicking hard drives, etc.( at least in my expirience).

my only debate would be between updating my new windows mobile phone with windows mobile 7 when it comes out, (which, from what ive heard, will have a zune player instead of windows media player), and getting the Zune HD. i dont really care about particular screen resolution, as long as its decent, and the rest of it stacks up like we need it to.

i am vary pleased with my zune, and (although the cusomer service is some times lacking..) microsofts willingness to let the consumer update their player every time an update comes out, instead of having to buy a whole new player. (this is, of course excluding the ipod touch, because they have updates available...but u have to pay...unlike zune, where its free.)

my younger sister has an ipod nano "chromatic", and she is even wanting to switch to a zune. constant problems with itunes, along with the player itself. im usualy having to do some kind of "fix" for her. we're both frustrated..

i think that some people are afraid to step out side of there " iComfort zone" and give the zune a chance. now, im not at all saying everyone. some people might have tried the zune, and not liked it, thats fine. but for those of you who are bashing microsoft and the zune that have not even given it a fair chance, reconsider. maybe borrow a zune from a friend ( if any of your friends have one..preferably not the zune 30, because you wont get the full feel for it), and just play around with it for a few days. idk, just a thought.

i am a proud zune owner after three 80gb ipods. i have had a 80gb red zune for almost a year and i have to say it is the best thing i have invested in as far as electronics go.the only things that ipods have that is better than zune-an eq and accessories out the butt....thas it. screw the ipod line. macs i will not lie are beautiful.but ipods are straight poop. although i will agree the squircle is awesome and touch is honestly a waste of time on a pmp, it impresses the ladies haha. seriously tho you stand an itouch guy next to a 30gb zune(besides the sexy orange or white), they would pick the itouch. its the sad facts of life.(btw for most girls, dont wanna offend anyone) but seriously this thing will be great if it has what i hear it has. also looks great! long live microsoft!!! and for god sakes microsoft listen to me, a huge fan of yours. PUT A ******* EQ ON THE NEW GEN!!!!! :)

They're not trying to fix what isn't broken, they're just being innovative.

When zune first came out, i remember people bitching about it cuz "iPods were better" but look at the outcome.

I hate it when people bitch about new product because it's not going to be the same original product over and over again. Look at how many times apple released the same looking ipod for years. It gets old, and so do your bitchy comments.

New product? New possibilities. THATS A GOOD THING FUCKTARDS. and if you don't like it, go buy a fuckin ipod or an older zune.

P.S. i also hate to be the person to say this, cuz i don't like getting this from other people lol. But the truth hurts.

all the features that they don't like could all be rumors!
